Brent Council: Road safety magazine
Project aimed at easing primary school pupils' transition to secondary school
Project Explanation
The Brief
To create an informative guide that will help Brent’s primary school pupils, as they approach transition to secondary school, to help them feel confident and safe about how they make their daily journeys.
The DesignÂ
The booklet is aimed at children aged 11, many of whom will not yet have made daily journeys on their own. It has the feel of a magazine, packed with lots of essential information, quiz questions, and testimonies from celebrities. Using a mix of illustration and photography, we designed it to be welcoming and reassuring at this anxious time. The aim is to be both informative and supportive, while still having a positive, upbeat, and cool feel.
The Feedback
This booklet was so well received that along with a revised edition for the next year’s pupils, we have also been asked to produced special editions through the London Road Safety Council for Enfield, Havering, Lambeth, Lewisham, and Kingston.
